Natural wonders and cultural jewels of Dalmatia

Young Ocean Explorers Club in partnership with MAUD FONTENOY FOUNDATION.

Set off to discover the Mediterranean on an all-new 8-day cruise aboard L'Austral: valleys planted with olive trees, national parks featuring striking beauty, and paved old towns evoking a turbulent history.

During this cruise, the emblematic landscapes of the Mediterranean will merge with unimaginable panoramas. The rocky Croatian coastline will transform as you move inland. The lush forests, scattered with lakes into which waterfalls dive, will offer you their summer coolness during an excursion to the Plitvice Lakes or the Krka National Park from Zadar or Primosten.

Although more expected, the pebble beaches that dot the shorelines are no less breath-taking. Dive into the crystal-clear waters overlooked by myriad pine trees in the Golden Cape Forest Park in Rovinj or in the Mljet National Park. On the Kornati archipelago, wooded expanses have made way for a more desert-like decor: the rocky hills scattered with shrubs disappear into the cerulean blue.

The Bay of Kotor combines the beauty of spectacular nature with the jewels of the region's history. Its medieval city will unveil itself in the crook of the cliffs that overhang the jutting sound, creating a labyrinthine sailing route.

Venice the Serenissima has spread remnants of its centuries-long reign along the shores of the Adriatic. On the Balbi's Arch in Rovinj and on the doors of the towns of Zadar or Korcula, the winged lion, symbol of the City of the Doges, still watches over passers-by. From ancient times, Split has kept the Roman Diocletian's Palace and its Cathedral of Saint Domnius while the island of Hvar conserves Stari Grad, founded by the Greeks and considered to be the country's oldest town.

The Pearl of the Adriatic, the former maritime republic known as Ragusa, concludes this journey through time, unveiling a new face among the many facets of Dalmatia. Dubrovnik's slogan is "Freedom is not for sale, not even for all the gold of this world."

Wilderness from Greenland to the East Coast of Canada

See the infinity of the polar expanses unfurl its grandeur during an all-new expedition cruise taking you from Greenland to the Canadian Far North to reach the coastlines of Labrador and the sumptuous island of Newfoundland. Encounters with local people, the exciting history of the Arctic territories and many unforgettable hikes will mark this 15-day journey aboard Le Lyrial.

Sisimiut, with its colourful houses facing the ocean, is the first port of call on your expedition before crossing the Labrador Sea to reach the Canadian shores of Nunavut. When the weather is fine, the mountains are reflected in the crystal-clear waters of the gigantic fjord which will lead you up to the Grinnell Glacier. In Zodiac dinghies or on foot, you will criss-cross the territory that the Inuit share with polar bears, musk oxen, seals and whales. The ramparts formed by the limestone cliffs around Akpatok Island have made it inaccessible to humans, but perfect for the thick-billed murres that nest in its fissures.

A succession of landscapes will leave you with sentiment of tranquillity, inherent to the contemplation of these spaces, which exceed any known proportions. You will soon discover the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and its highest mountains, those encircling the splendid Nachvak Fjord. A little further on, the town of Rigolet - only accessible by the sea - will offer you, along its bay and its lake, a unique observation point to spot Minke whales and the region's birds.

The last part of your cruise will open the doors to the island of Newfoundland and, while it seems very remote, it has a great many historic sites. These attest to the presence of the Vikings as far back as 1000 and will plunge you into the past of the first Europeans who arrived on the North American continent for the whaling trade

Your journey will end on the island of Saint Pierre, a fragment of France on the other side of the world, which is home to fascinating wild biodiversity.

Itinerary is?subject to change according to port authorizations and government regulations. We are privileged guests in these remote lands where we are at the mercy of weather, ice, tidal and current conditions. Landings on certain sites and the observation of certain wildlife cannot be guaranteed. They vary from day to day, making each PONANT cruise a unique experience. Croatia, Under Sail Aboard Le Ponant

Le Ponant, the first Relais & Châteaux sailing yacht, like the finest travel address on the waters of the world.

"Eternity. It is the sea mingled with the sun", according to a poem by Rimbaud. Whether you are a lover of the sea or a curious traveller, experience once again the indescribable joy of navigating under sail, bathed by the wind and sea spray, surrounded by the elements. Take your place aboard Le Ponant, a majestic three-mast yacht with elegant lines and an interior design created by the Jean-Philippe Nuel studio to be a warm and intimate setting with a very distinctive personality. As if you were on your very own yacht, match your inner tempo to the boat's subtle oscillations and savour the freedom of living in the moment, being fully present for your trip.

Aboard its emblematic yacht, PONANT is reshaping the contours of cruising and invites you to experience a new way of discovering the wonderful Mediterranean shores, between olive groves and sun-drenched vines. From unique and iconic ports of call to private moments, experience the very essence of the Mediterranean and welcome the unexpected like a breath of freedom.

At full sail, you will slice through the water and approach the mineral shores of Croatia and Montenegro. Pomalo - meaning "take it easy" in Croatian - sets the tone here. Incredible landscapes, emblematic cities, and little-known islands will reveal themselves to you as the wind carries you off the beaten path.

Korcula will arouse your curiosity during the Moreška, a spectacular sword dance, and delight you with intense aromas and flavours when you meet small producers of honey, wine or award-winning olive oil. Propelled by the wind, Le Ponant will take you, carefree, from island to island.

Far from the crowds, discover Vis through its singular history with the thrill of first times.

In Stari Grad, experience all the emotion of an exceptional concert of Croatian traditional singing called klapa.

Lying at the end of a fjord, Pucisca delivers a beautiful ode to Bacchus and to artistic creation, giving you the chance to discover local wines and meet a stone carver.

Let the golden hour work its magic and rediscover Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic, in the glow of the sun setting over the saffron rooftops of the old city. The cultural traditions and gastronomy authentically convey the richness of the Croatian heritage.

Sailing in the monumental Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will leave you speechless at the beauty of nature.

The activities, designed for you and with you, create possibilities for returning to what is essential, in a setting conducive to contemplation.

At your own pace, immerse yourself in wild and stunning panoramas, away from the crowds, and enjoy moments spent in harmony with nature: glass-bottom kayaking, snorkelling, paddle-boarding*.

*The activities on offer will be confirmed on board by the captain according to the weather conditions, the itinerary and the cruise plan.

Push the boundaries of navigation and set sail for 90 degrees North! During this exceptional polar exploration, you will go in search of the mythical Geographic North Pole. Head slowly up through the desert landscapes of the constantly changing ice floe. Your odyssey will continue as you travel down along Greenland, amidst the ice of the Transpolar Drift. Between majestic fjords and encounters with the Inuit culture, the region of Ittoqqortoormiit is rich in rare treasures holding inestimable value. This region near the auroral circle could offer you a choice position in a period that is ideal for observing the Northern Lights. Another Arctic marvel.

Aboard Le Commandant Charcot, the only cruise ship able to rise to this challenge, you will make your way towards the North Pole, which is inaccessible to traditional ships. A slow and humble journey awaits you in the heart of a silent world frozen by the extreme cold. You will sail among different states and forms of ice and will be able to admire, from the reassuring cocoon of the ship, the endless show of the light as it reflects on the opalescent landscapes. Following in the wake of Frederick Cook, Robert Edwin Peary or Roald Amundsen, who were among the many to fight to achieve this elusive goal, you will be part of the few chosen ones to dare the adventure, 700 km (435 miles) from any land. And in their footsteps, you will attempt to reach the Holy Grail of all polar explorers: the North Pole!

Sailing back down from the Pole, your odyssey will follow the ice floes alongGreenland. You will reach the region of Ittoqqortoormiit, on the East coast. The eponymous village is located at the entrance to Scoresby Sound, the world's largest network of fjords. You will discover the village customs during privileged exchanges mixed with joyful and authentic moments. Inuit hospitality is no myth, it is given in the warmth of a look or an exchanged smile. There, if solar activity and the weather conditions are favourable, Le Commandant Charcot will offer you the optimal conditions for observing the Northern Lights, these luminous curtains of colours dancing in the black night.

Amidst these extreme and isolated panoramas, the polar adventure reserves unsuspected emotions for the humble and patient explorer, one who is conscious of their privilege.

Find out more about the world of Le Commandant Charcot here!

Set sail with PONANT aboard Le Champlain for an 8-day cruise to discover the Great Lakes amidst the splendid colours of autumn.

You will leave from cosmopolitan and dynamic Toronto, Ontario, on the shore of Lake Ontario. Canada's largest city will charm you with its museums, parks, and gardens.

Le Champlain will then sail the canal connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. From your call in Port Colborne, you will be able to see the impressive Niagara Falls. These three powerful waterfalls, renowned the world over, are an exquisite natural spectacle.

Your next lake, Lake Huron, boasts myriad islands in its northern part, with white rocks capped with conifers plunging into the sapphire waters of the lake. The Northwest Passage, in the wake of Roald Amundsen

With featured guest Nick Rains, Australian photo ambassador.

PONANT takes you to theboundariesofthe Far North during an exceptional trip in the wake of the legendary explorer Roald Amundsen. Sail the mythical Northwest Passage, a historic and famous shipping route, which winds its way among the labyrinthine channels of the northernmost world. Spend 23 days marvelling at the beauty of these remote regions where Inuit villages appear amidst the landscapes of the Arctic.

Greenland, and its traditional colourful houses, is the first port of call on your long adventure . You will sail along the west coast of this immense island with its hypnotic panoramas, between mineral landscapes and immaculate expanses, where the interplay between the contrasts seems endless. Monumental icebergs criss-cross the Labrador Sea with you, to travel towards Baffin Bay.

Set sail to Northern Canada and the entrance of the Northwest Passage. Amundsen was the first to pave the way on this northern route between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, which long remained just a theory for navigators and scientists. In Gjoa Haven, discover the wintering site of the expedition he undertook between 1903 and 1906. Like him, get to know the Inuit people who perpetuate their ancestral traditions in the heart of grandiose nature. On Beechey Island, retrace the steps of the Franklin expedition, before marvelling at the sublime canyon at Fury Beach.

Throughout your trip, you will enter majestic fjords and sail at the edge of the ice floes, in the hope of glimpsing the polar bear, the lord of the Far North. After Bellot Strait, the narrow passage of Coningham Bay will provide the perfect spot for an encounter with remarkable beluga whales. Try to spot bowhead whales in the Beaufort Sea; as for grey whales, these occupy the waters of the Bering Strait before they migrate towards the south of the continent. An exceptional journey taking in the emblematic fauna of the Far North, dreamlike landscapes and unforgettable encounters with the people of the North.

We are privileged guests in these remote lands where we are at the mercy of weather, ice, tidal and current conditions. Landings on certain sites and the observation of certain wildlife cannot be guaranteed. They vary from day to day, making each PONANT cruise a unique experience. 2nd Jazz Festival at Sea

In partnership with Marseille Jazz des cinq continents and the presence of an exceptional musical line-up.

To enjoy the slow passing of time on a mild summer evening, take in the intoxicating scent of the pine trees surrounding the island home of Stari Grad, or wander through the bustling streets of Dubrovnik, PONANT invites you on a brand-new 8-day cruise to (re)discover the Adriatic Sea, between culture and natural gem.

The stunning city of Dubrovnik is the first leg of your journey. Its history takes form along the cobbled streets of the old town and Dalmatian traditions are revealed during a trip to the Konavle Valley, reputed for its vineyards.

The country's oldest city, Stari Grad, also carries echoes of the past. Founded by the Greeks 2,400 years ago, its plain is now listed with UNESCO for having retained its original agricultural landscape of vineyards and olive groves.

Hopping from one island to another, you will visit Bol and Brac Island, the proud home of the most beautiful beach in the Adriatic, Zlatni Rat, before calling at Rab. Dominated by its four emblematic bell towers and surrounded by medieval walls, it also offers an opportunity to visit secret coves and idyllic beaches in the surrounding area.

Brijuni National Park is undoubtedly one of the highlights of your cruise. PONANT is taking you there for the first time, for its incredibly beautiful landscapes, ancient remains, and surprising wildlife.

Just a stone's throw away, Pula, the most Roman of Croatian cities, offers a combination of rich history, reflected in its dazzling Roman amphitheatre, and wooded outskirts punctuated with beaches.

The Slovenian shores await you in Piran, a medieval town extending out into the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic. Its architecture, influenced by five centuries under the rule of the Republic of Venice, affords it a singular charm.

Your arrival in the city of the Doges marks the end of your cruise. The city that was once called the Serenissima Republica and which dominated this arm of the Mediterranean for centuries is the ideal place to round off your odyssey.
